Listen - New Film

Sorry, I couldn't get through it - I bailed right after the main character sits down with the girl to talk to her. Yawn.

However, this observation applies even if someone has only watched the first few minutes: you made a catastrophic mistake with music.

First, the music itself is god awful. Simply horrible. From the opening frames, my ears were bleeding.

That however was not the main problem - the main problem was having that music at the start AT ALL - it was horribly confusing once we get to the point where he hears it for the first time - we have no idea when it's the music the character hears, and when it's just the general obnoxious soundtrack - it's all blended. The final insult was when the character was leaving the lake area - he takes off the earphones, and the vile music CONTINUES!! Seriously - what is going on?? Just seconds before we were led to believe the music we were hearing was the music he was hearing, and now he takes off the earphones but the music goes on, thus telling us that it's NOT the music he's hearing... eeeh, who cares anymore. At that point I totally lost all faith in the narrative skills of the filmmaker. Then it just kept dragging on and on without significant escalation for way too long to care - you got 20 minutes, and you gotta pick up the pace to keep up interest... this was happening waaaay too slowly... so I bailed.

I recommend sitting down and seriously thinking about how to SHOW info to the viewer - remember at all times, that the viewer is not in your head, and doesn't have access to info you have. You must convey the information. Serious blunders like the one with the music attribution tell me you have to address this with all the skill you can muster. Good luck.

TheComo - Actually it's a homemade one, thanks for watching! EDIT: Canon XL2, the adapter is homemade lol.

OldCorpse - Thank you for taking the time to write that. Tho i do not agree with you about the music part , i do think the pacing could use some work i suppose. Pacing is extremely difficult to get right for me it seems. Reviewers tell me too fast too slow, but finding the median is quite a task. Thanks again!

It was an interesting idea and i thought you shot it well, but i think the problem is in the execution of the story, alot of it didnt make sense to me and was confusing.

I mean i got the basics of the story but some of the things the characters did i was confused about and the story moved a little slow i would recommend picking up the pace a little next time.

I give you props on a original idea and for shooting a good looking film, i also liked your lead actor...but i think there is room for improvement mainly in tightening up your actual story a little better next time.
