Linking 2 Dvx's

Im sure there has been numerous topics about this, so sorry about that, but i searched and apparently i dont know the correct terminology. Anyway, i was wanted to link 2 dvx 100 together so that when i shoot, they have the same white balance, scene files and they would possibly stop and start recording at the same time. I was hoping that the zoom on each camera WOULD BE indepedent of each other. I know i read something in the manuel about it, and just looked for it but couldnt seem to find the info. Any one have any expierience with this or any tips???

What model of DVX? is it the a, b, or strat 100?

linking 2 dvx's gives you timecode sync, i'm not sure about sharing scene files, it might work. I have always just manually dialed them in.

I think if you buy a special fire wire that goes form camera to c amera, that will work. Now, i'm pretty sure you have to seperatly white balance each, which is no problem, really.

nothing really special about a 4 to 4 pin firewire cable. you can find them anywhere.

i am wanting to link the 100b's.. Yea, the scene files and what not isnt so much of a big deal, but the main thing i wanted was the camera's start and stop of recording to be the same, that way my time codes would be exact. Do you pretty much just plug them in and it works, or do you have to change settings to allow the cameras to be linked?
