Lilliput Monitor with HMC150?

The Ikan SH7 sun hood made for the V7000 just came from B & H, it fits on the 7" Lilliput 619AH and comes with Velcro to secure it to the monitor. Works good.

Thats a deal, just ordered.

I also ordered a liliput 7" (not 619AH) so I can see any differences 1st hand. So far they are very similar - more to come.

We have the Ikan SH7 sun hood on our 7" 619AH and have used it several several times outdoors including one time in 20-35 mph wind. The hood is light in weight and with the Velcro supplied works well with the 7" monitor.

Yah, I like the one that you have. Can you post a link to it? Does it come with the necessary 1/4" ends? Can you point me to a simple attachment for the top of the HMC150 to mount the LCD there?

Sorry, at the moment I am clueless on what to buy... :Drogar-KnockedOut(D

How about this Impact Super Clamp:

along with this:

This way I could either mount on the tripod leg, OR attach to top of HMC150? Would I need any other adapters?
Don't go super clamp on a camera, way too heavy and large, for mounting to a tripod it's fine.

Here are some mounting suggestions:
For tripod:
Manfrotto SuperClamp with Stud
Manfrotto 237HD Heavy Duty Flex Arm
or 8.3 Articulating Arm w/shoe (the shoe is removable revealing a 1/4 thread.

for Camera:
you can use the 8.3 articulating arm, but I prefer the shorter 4.2 Articulating Arm
as for camera mounting Handle Brackets are great HDV Handle Bracket

Thanks,

I went with the superclamp to the tripod leg, and attached a super cheap ball head to the superclamp, so that I could setup the monitor for any viewing angle. This setup works great for my primary use. I also picked up the battery pack from the same site as the monitor and attached it to the back. All in one solution.

I tried to do some window shopping by registering to see how much the 7 inch Liliput will cost on a few "stand-alone" websites. The final price (Hidden cost) including shipping is more than what I found on e.bay.

7 Inch Liliput found on ebay costing around U.S $209 + Item comes with a 12V,1.5A battery!

Here is an 8 inch version. The 7 inch version was sold to me. (I think they still have around 10 of those)

Hope the item arrives.

I am using a German Leica lens/Japanese electronics and I'm using Chinese LED and monitors. Oppss! I did it again!

Ebay Merchandise from China arrived in 4 days! All masked with tape and comes with a logistic tracking number from UPS!

U.S $209 + Shipping (LCD screen, battery adapter and wall adaptor and HDMI wires)

No 12V,1.5A battery included! (I think the dealer got lost in translation but it's still cheaper)

In any case they came from the same company.

Cheers!

Thanks for all the insight with this thread, it inspired me to purchase two of the Lilliput monitors for my 150's :)

Course the more that Hong told me "Pls, do not worry" the more he made me worry lol!

Ordered the monitors last Thursday (late US) they arrived Monday Morning early. Played with it some last night but didn't have much time, can't wait to get out and test them!

P.S. That Hong guy must have stock in a tape company though holy crap that was a lot of tape!

Just got all the parts for my 2nd one...

Here is how I have mine setup -

Is that a 3rd party aftermarket battery that you are using? What brand / model is it and how much? Are those charge indicator lights?

If you are in Central Florida let me know, Id be happy to let you try out all the Halo Rigs :) Its really an inexpensive setup - and very effective.

Its the IDX batt for the hmc150... It has a led charge indicator on the back.

Just wondering... anyone of you guys found any after market HDMI cable, short and flexible enough to link the Camera and the LCD screen? Mine that comes with the Liliput looks as though it's dangling all over the place.

I just did another theatre shoot last night and used my monitor in the setup. What a pleasure, and difference being able to see a live picture on a monitor, not just looking at the flip screen.

I am so pleased with this purchase and happy to have found this thread!

Can you post a link to what you got? I haven't looked at the voltage on mine, but I would imagine the 8" would use the same as the 7".

Sorry for old thread bumpage, but I'm considering purchasing one of these Lilliupts :)

Abeas, how have you found the 8" model?

To all the 7" owners, have the last 5 months been good? Any issues cropped up since the initial great reviews?

Finally, are any of the mounts that coollcd sell any good, or should I get those elsewhere? I'd be looking to mount the monitor straight onto the HMC151.
