Like a BOSS.....

I have the latest firmware on both FS100's. Probably don't have the latest firmware on the Metabones, I plan on sending it in this spring. I will be getting the speedbooster in a few days, so that may say more about the situation. I have gotten the "do not recognize the lens" before intermittently even with the SEL18200 lens, but usually you take it off and put it back on, and it's fine.
I use to have all sorts of problems with the adapter not recognizing lenses or controlling them.
They used to have to tell you to try to find someone with a NEX still cam to check your metabones
firmware but now you can check it on the FS-100. I wrote a blog post on this problem. Firmware
update fixed it for me....but I've never had it not recognize the kit lens. That sounds like it could
almost be dirty contacts.

The camera communicates with the lens when I use the first version of the METABONES adapter, but not when I use the MARK II.

There may be a situation where the tolerances on the contacts of the TAMRON lens and on the METABONES adapter fall outside of each other.

So what firmware version is on your Mark II adapter? If you don't know how to check, go to my website at:

www.gforcevideo.com

and click on the 'Blog' button. Read the entry 'Metabones EF to NEX firmware', it tells how to check the firmware
of your Metabones adapter. If you have version 15 or 16 you should be good in theory. Just wondering, because I had
version 10 when I bought the Mark II, and it wouldn't work with a bunch of lenses. And I swear, when I got it back, not only
did they update the firmware, but they did something to make lenses fit on it much 'tighter'. Seems like they did make
tolerances tighter. I would be willing to bet that a return to Metabones would solve your problems. Of course it sucks
to not have your lens adapter for 5 or 6 days.
