Lightroom 4!

WTF, haha, they had a the LR3 on crazy sale, but then drop the LR4 to $150. Good one. =)

No kidding. I'm sure that sellers converted quite a few sales from people who were unaware of the imminent LR4 release. LR3 is still a great value for the price...although combined with the upgrade fee will actually cost more than the full version of LR4.

LR 3 is the greatest asset management tool ever made to run on Windows for still photographers who shoot lots of photos on a regular basis. LR 4 has expanded to cover videos and images in pretty much all the popular formats that can be produced with a DSLR camera and today's HD camcorders. It's now the greatest ever asset management tool for everyone who shoots with DSLR a lot.

With LR 2.0, I finally stopped using Canon's proprietary software (Zoom Browser, etc) for managing photos.

With LR 4, I probably can stop using Panasonic's proprietary software for managing 1080/60p video clips most of the time.

However, LR 4.0's support for video is noticeably much weaker than for images. For instance, it can't reproduce audio from my TM700K's videos. Also, when playing back 60p clips, LR 4 is way slower than should be. A bit disappointed. This is most likely due to the limitations of Quick Time that LR 4 internally falls back on (I've never liked QT, even when it's my only playback tool). BTW, Adobe CS 5.x's playback engine has no dependency on Quick Time, and has no problem handling those 1080/60p clips smoothly. I think, to finally replace Panasonic's asset management tool, I probably have to wait until LR 5 comes out.

You can get LR4 for as little as $99.
