Light Graffiti

When I saw the first video like that, I wondered why the paintings were not perfect at all. Lines starting at the wrong position, circles not being round, etc. I would certainly make it better.
Well :D

The first part is basically the same as the rest, I only had to invert the video before applying the effect. (I covered the font again afterwards with a white sheet of paper and removed it.)

I'm perhaps more talented in programming than in making good movies, nevertheless, critique, comments, discussions, always welcome.

thanks

Woah! The effect you were able to achieve was pretty slick... I want to know how to do this... How did you set up your camera for the shots where you are drawing the light?

I've now also finished the How-To.

Ideally the camera is set such that the light source is always brighter than the background, and not overexposed. (Which means the brightness of the light source should, ideally, be adjustable. For perfect results.)

For more questions, just ask :)

Brilliant. Thanks for taking the time to make the write up. My only question would be, how does a guy who doesn't know much about coding and is on a Mac go about getting use of something like this? It seems like all of the host apps run on Linux.
