Lift Gate - Teaser Trailer - need feedback

I haven't posted here for a while, but I forgot how helpful people are around here so if I could get some feedback on this teaser trailer I'd really appreciate it. I have some concerns that the teaser may not be clear enough as half the people I have shown it to have no idea what it's about, while the other half has gotten an idea what it's about. As it is a teaser I only want to really hint at what's it about, and if people can at least grasp the genre or the broader idea of the film, I'd be happy. So if you could give it a watch and let me know what you think, I'd really appreciate it.

On a side note, I shot it on the DVX100b with a letus35 extreme.

I don't get it...

But it still looks cool. I like the contrasty colors too.

What should I have understood from watching this? My guess was a farmboy being rejected by a pretty girl...

I don't think that it 'captured' me and made me want to see the finished film. I did not have any sense of the theme or genre.

Best I can tell is some sort of buddy film... perhaps he's going to be Americas Next Best Dance Guy.

Yea, I think maybe it could use some re-edits. The main thing I want to get across (if you haven't watched the trailer yet please don't read beyond this point) is that it is an off-beat comedy. And I also obviously want it to make people want to watch the short, so if neither of those are being accomplished, it needs to be re-edited. Any other comments people have I'd definitely like to hear.
