so i just bought the hv20 from bhphoto. now my next step is an adapter and i'm interested in the letus35A (not the flip enhanced version)

does anyone know if the letus35A does well with HD cameras? (more specifically the hv20) or is it meant for standard resolution like the dvx?

if anyone has footage or stills of their hv20/letus35A would you mind posting a few so i could see what they look like? :)

yea i would like to get that but i don't have 1,300 to spend on an adapter. the reason i want the letus35A is because it's only 500 bucks and for that price it does a pretty good job from what i've seen on the dvx. i was just wondering how it does with the hv20?

Don't get the Letus35A. I had that one and I had to exchange it with Letus35FE. The reason is terrible and I mean terrible amount of vignetting. With the letus35A you cannot zoom enough to avoid it but with Letus35FE you can zoom all the way to avoid any kind of vignetting. I've recently made a clip of Old Town Alexandria with my adapter. I will post it very soon so that you can have an idea of Letus35FE with HV20.

thanks that would be great!

by the way... how are you satisfied with the light loss that is created by the flip module? how much light is lost and how big of a problem is it?

Well I liked Letus35A better in terms of light loss but it was so hard to shoot anything with a flipped image. Also it was more compact and lighter than the flip version. But Letus35A is useless with HV20 IMO. I was using it with my elura 90 and the results were great but it didn't work out with my HV20. If you use the adapter indoors you will need good lighting if you want to set your shutter at 1/48. If you lower it to 1/24 it will perform way much better but than you will have problems if you pan fast or shoot fast moving objects. But during day light outdoors you won't have any light related issues.
