Letus Ultimate/ EX1 shorts

PHil,
Your casting and location choices were all wrong. You'll never work in this canyon again.

Kidding aside, all I can say is damn that adaptor with that camera is pretty unbelievable. Has me looking at what I can sell off. Sharpness all around looks great. What lenses were you using?

i can't i just dont post unfinshed work by policy! they will be very subtle though

I hear that. Try explaining uncorrected footage to anybody but film folk. And besides, a DSP is pretty much correcting on the fly. If you saw the raw image that hits the sensor - you might get ill.

Philip, what was your shutter speed on the night time-lapse. Also, how do you accomplish your tracking time-lapse?

If it's like his other footage he has done that on, he is shooting 720 and moving within the frame in post while editing at a smaller resolution. Neat trick.

It's not like you're working with a REAL raw image here. The camera captures color as it is. This isn't RED ONE.

I thought that was what color correction, grading, etc. was for. Correcting and bettering footage for presentation. Even if it wasn’t Raw.

I asked for raw footage or at least something close to it to judge the Ultimate image by. Although, these aren't tests so cool!

Regardless, the Canyon stuff looks great.

Wrong terminology. I understand it doesn't do raw what meant to express is that the DSP does do a helluva alot to the chips signal before laying it down. It's a radical in camera color correction. Each camera adds its own special ingredients for presentation before you ever color correct. In fact they add far more than most color correction.

That's true, indeed. That's what I meant when I asked for some uncorrected stuff but the Redrock Canyon was close enough to show off the Ultimate. Although that's probably not the intent.

Gotta mirror what you said, Tim... sharp as hell.

Sorry not been getting notifications on this thread!!How annoying. Done another short over here in Tokyo using the Ultimate

I used a very cheap motorized tripod head for the last timelapse shot(really a telescope head, details to get one are in my blog linked on the below page)

thanks to Alex Kubalsky for all his help

The previous mock motorized head stuff was as explained above by shooting in 1080p and zooming in when put on a 720p timeline.

Is this an in-camera shot? What focal length?

there are frame grabs here: http://web.mac.com/philip.bloom/Blo...,_DEER_Vegas:_First_Letus_Ultimate_short.html

as you can see the grading on red red rocks was very subtle
