Price of DOF is getting out of control. Once people realized they can get enough shallow DOF with the $3000 2/3" Red Scarlet (~ S16mm), it will be interesting to see the 'Scarlet effect' on the adapter market.
 
Same here. Looks like an Extreme that has been tweaked. Vibrating GG so still probably the same problem of not being able to go over 5.6.
 
Probably in answer to the SGpro backfocus mount. Luckily for SG prople, the SG mount is available as a bolt-on upgrade.
 
just received my new sgpro nikon mount.very solid stainless still and with good collimation option
 
LOL, look at that picture again...ever try walking around with a rig like that wearing high heels? :)

Yeah it looks like they added backfocus, if the consender is new then they added the one from the ultimate, probably the rest is unchanged. If you don't already have an extreme it seems pretty cool, the backfocus alone is a huge help.

So if the only lenses you use on your LEX are F-Mounts (such as Zeiss and Nikon), there wouldn't be much point in purchashing the Elite?

What about for any of the other added improvements?

It looks longer than the LEX, at least looking at the end of it where the lens actually attaches. Interesting...

It's been a long time.

I don't even see this coming either ;-) Just lots of people asked for it so decided to do it.
The part will work as is for the Extreme, so Extreme owners can get it.
Zacuto wants this want so we designed it for them, unless the volume is too low, they will have exclusive right for now. For the upgrade, I will work something out.

Couple things on the Letus Elite.
1. Yes, you can operate it in high heels ;<) (first person to send me a picture operating his full DOF handheld rig in high heels will gets a $300 credit at Zacuto towards the purchase of anything) p.s. and allow me to post the picture on our website.
2. We are working out the details so you can buy just the back-focus ring to add to your existing Letus Extreme, check the store tomorrow and we will have it listed. The price will be the difference between the Extreme and the Elite. Note: There are optics in the backfocus ring.
3. In a comment to someone in this listing about the Scarlet's 2/3" imaging. DOF adapters were first created for 2/3" 3 chip camreas. P+S Techniks sold many many $25,000 DOF adapters for 2/3" imagers. We still rent them in our rental department today. So hang on to your DOF adapters you will need it for your scarlet too. And for anyone interested. Next month (check our site) Letus will be coming out with with a B4 adapter that will allow you to attach a Letus Extreme, Elilte or Ultimate to any 2/3" B4 mount camera like a HPX500, Varicam, Sony F900 as well as others. This is an exciting product and one that I've been really pushing for.
