letterbox in FCP

Ok I want to give the "fix it in post" a try. Where do I go to do that in FCP. Thanks it might save me 4 hours of looking around.

No I want to try shooting 4:3 or even squeeze then apply letterbox in post. I have been shooting in camera letterbox.

So I'm looking in FCP where to go to to apply the black bars.

If you are shooting in squeeze mode, bring it into FCP as anamorphic (no need to matte unless you are going for 2.35:1). If you are shooting 4:3 and want to matte for 16:9 got to Effects>Matte>Widescreen.

Found it!! So 1:66 is about the same as the DVX100 letterbox
