If you have anything shot on Canon FD or FL post it up here.:thumbup:

I would love to see some 24mm 1.4L footage.:)

maybe someone here have sample of a canon fd 20mm on any 4/3 ? there's just some dreadful motorbike footage on the net.

thanks

* no sample? :(
i really need to see the FOV difference between the 28mm which i use (not wide enough on 4/3) and the 20mm..
can someone here with a 20mm fd could just shoot a few seconds of a nice angle pleeease... ?

Look at any footage shot with the Panasonic 20mm pancake lens and you'll see what the FOV of the Canon or any other 20mm lens would look like, because they all have the same FOV on a given m43 camera. Then character of the image will be different but the FOV will be the same.

i don't get it.. wouldn't i need to see a 40mm lens to evaluate how the fd 20mm would look?

No. As far as I know, all lenses are measured against a 35mm standard. So the Panasonic lens behaves like any other 20mm lens when placed on a m43 camera.

so now i'm really confused. i thought it gets x2 tele when you put 35 lenses. so the pancake is not a 4/3 mount ? is it different than the kit lens ?

Clear your Confusion...

The FOV of any 20mm lens on m43 is equivalent to the FOV of any 40mm lens on Full Frame Sensor.
Doesn't matter if it's Lumix Lens or FD Lens or Nikkor Lens, they all give same FOV on Same Sensor.
Remember, only Sensor Size Matters...:cool:

On any given sensor, all lenses of equal focal length will perform the same. So if you want to know what a Canon 20mm would look like on the GH1, you can tell by looking at what the Lumix 20mm looks like on the GH1. A millimeter is a millimeter, and 20mm is 20mm.

If you change the cameras in the comparison, then that all goes out the window; 20mm on a 5D will not look like 20mm on a GH1. But if you're keeping the camera the same, then the millimeters are interchangeable.

(note: this applies only to FOV and DOF, obviously there are other imaging characteristics such as sharpness, contrast and color, that may vary from lens to lens.)

at last.... clarified !! :) the bit about the different camera probably got me confused, thanks.
my mistake was thinking they made special new lens for 4/3 that make 20mm as actual 20mm.
