Oh right, hah, I was just playing with my new FS100 today and saw the smooth slow rec option and mistook it for the frame combining mode the ex1 has. I will have to try it out asap. Is it confirmed that this mode is 120fps? Is that just based on the fact that it records at 60i and says it turns 3sec of recording to a 12sec clip?

Yeah, I heard 24p is like 16 seconds or sumn' at 120fps..

I've shot the smooth slow mode. It's pretty worthless. Standard def and only good for a quick burst. Blah...

When ("when" ha! - Grumble, next week now, grumble grumble) mine comes in, will do a comparison shoot of the 120fps mode vs doing a Twixtor on 60fps (actually 50fps, thanks Sony) retimed in post. Methinks the second method will win.
