What medium and large format gear do you shoot with? I know it's not really an option when hiking, but I used to shoot with a 4x5 field camera and a Pentax 6x7 and nothing has come close to those in terms of resolution.
These days I hike and climb with a 60D in my hand.

The flowers at the top are very tiny. Each individual flower is only about 5 or 6mm across and this is not a macro lens.
60D / Tamron 17-50 non VC.

Wow, Nice Pictures! Waiting on this Money so I can finally buy me that lens, can't wait!!

which camera took this? and no exif cheating. lol. GH1 with olympus 9-18mm "tiny" lens.

BTW Dadasalam... when you post pictures and video that belong to others, it's polite to state the source.

Although some of these images look good, posting 3rd party work may also be misleading. You never know for sure what camera or lens was used. I would include examples out of your own camera when ever possible to state camera body and lens used for each shot. We can learn benefit from that kind of information.

I'm on enough photography forums to know that many images are heavily photoshop'd. Online images carry very little weight in any equipment decisions that I make. I've seen images made from lenses with a smashed front element, or heavily fungus'd that you'd never guess was made with such a lens with such damage.

here is my photoes with 450D + 18-55 no exif cheating no photoshop and no another things

Interesting- any particular reason you prefer the Panasonic for stills? This is the first I've ever heard of it. By all accounts I would think the lens selection and higher resolution of the Canons would be more desirable for landscapes, especially if you have all of those models at your disposal.

+1 He must like the tiny form factor and cheap build quality over the 1D. lmao

Or the fact that the panny can cost up to 75% less; can carry all his gear in a small light bag or even hoody pocket; and have the best video (Gh1/gh2) available on any dslr type camera.

Oh, and it takes some excellent shots esp with the $350 - 20mm 1.7 pancake Canon owners can only dream about.

lmao.

Unlike the video world that is still very much in flux and making big usable improvements, the DSLR world of stills hit a plateau a long time ago. It's pretty well the law of diminishing returns now. A 50% jump in sensor resolution may mean little to nothing in prints or online.

VDSLR's in general are a huge downgrade in build quality and features from pro-video cameras, and we love the lighter, smaller form factor and are willing to put up with compromises in video quality because it gets the job done. It's a bit strange that so many people here don't get it.

This seems to be nothing but a thread to trash other cameras. If you want to post stills there's a photo subforum here better suited for that. Enough gear bashing.

Less bashing more shooting please.
