I've used all kinds of lenses before, but I find myself constantly only using a 50mm and a wide (11-16) for everything. I know it depends on what you're doing, but I find no need for other ones..

What do you think?

on APS-C, I think I use:
* 35mm, about 50% of the shots
* 50mm, about 25% of the shots
* 11-17mm, about 10% of the shots

I use primarily a 50mm and 11-16, and am trying to decide between a 28 or 35mm for my 7d. Any good pros or cons for those particular focal lengths, or specific lens recommendations?

I currently use 50mm, a 28mm (planing on selling and upgrading to a better nikon 24mm lens) 35mm lens and the legendary 11-16mm tokina lens ( I just got this baby and can't put it down!)

When I first got my T3i, before I got the GH2, it was always mounted to a Sigma 50-500 @ the 500mm end, and I have tele-crop turned on to 3x. My GH2 has taken over now, so the T3i usually has the Sigma 17-50/2.8 or Sigma 30/1.4 mounted now.

Like David said. It all depends on what your shooting. If your shooting a lot of outdoors get a nice zoom lens with a constant aperture. If your doing documentary's and interview's get maybe a wider lens. You don't need a full set of lenses if what you have get's the job done then stick with that and use your money on things like rigs,audio,etc
