Purchased a Canon 60D, currently just using the 18-135 mm lense that it came with. Any suggestions on other lenses? I dont know much about them so any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I strongly suggest you get a 50mm 1.8 - which cost's just a little more than a genuine Canon lens cap  If you have a little more green to spread, the 1.4. Both lenses are sharp and the color is good. Not L, but acceptable. You will learn better composition and framing from the discipline of a fixed focal length (The Last Picture Show was shot entirely on a 50mm prime) and the huge aperture will give you shallow depth of field for days - because the real movie look is 1" of focus (NOT!) But seriously, you will get life saving low light capability, and powerfull SDOF to learn with.
I used a 24-105L with my 7D for 6 months without taking it off - more than adequate.
Voightlander make some really sharp (cut you fingers off sharp) lenses for low $ that are fully manual (no auto focus) that were wonderful to film with, and the only reason to pull of the big L zoom.
