Lens Reflection on Polarizer

I recently completed a shoot with the Zeiss CP.2 2.1 50mm Makro lens where I utilized a LEE 4x4 Circular Polarizer (In a matte box) for the majority of the shots.

However, I noticed that I could see the lens reflecting on the polarizer at times, which in turn showed up on the footage.

Is this a result of improper alignment of the polarizer?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Julian

Could it be from a light leak in your mattebox? What brand of mattebox were you using?
I think you nailed it.

It's a CINEbox from Shoot 35 and they didn't have the hard connector and donut in stock, so there was a bit of a gap since I had to use the rubber bellows.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Well, it's hard to know for sure without seeing what you're seeing, but on the light leak thing…I speak from experience. :D
