Does anyone know if the HMC lens hood fits on the DVX? My DVX lens hood broke, but I like the look and style of the HMC lens hood more mainly because of the plastic used and the huge lens cap rather than the circular DVX one. Will the shades on the inside of the HMC hood be visible on the DVX frame in 4:3?

But does the extra plastic that goes on the inside get in the frame? I mean the part where the writing is on.

I have both cameras and I tested it out for you. You can see the hood in 4:3. You cannot see it in 16:9 letterbox.

im pretty sure you can pop out the piece with the writing on it. with that i personally dont care for the 150 lens cap. PITA to pocket it.

A bit late but yes they are interchangable, didn't do any tests to see if vignetting would be a problem,,, although Ryan has confirmed this.

I am buying the HMC hood for the DVX so both cameras look more similar, that until I get my second HMC!
