Lens filter question ... need something to protect my lens

Hi all. I'm looking to provide some kind of basic protection for my lens on my XH-A1s. Can anyone point me to a good lens filter that I can screw on to the factory lens that will protect it from fingerprints, dust, scratches, etc. I had a neutral density filter on my old XL1 ten years ago that did the trick, but something even more basic would be ideal.

A 72mm UV filter is usually the choice .. but don't put cheap glass on your baby, it'll defeat the purpose .. any of the well respected brands, Hoya, Tiffen. I use B+W from BnH NY.

If you shoot a lot outdoors, another useful filter is a graduated ND. The B+W 502 version drops the sky by 2 stops, so you get more detail on the ground.

If you get one, mark each side of its rim with a dot of white paint so you can see where the graduation starts when the filter is mounted. The lens hood makes it very hard to see inside.

Cheers.
