lens cap question (dumb one)

hey all
i keep losing my lenscap, my least fave bit of this awesome camera (still cant get over how light the cam is ) anybody have any tips to help not lose it, i guess i should just get into habit of pocketing it but does anyone attach it to cam somehow

just thought if someone knew of a third party after market accessory to aid my stupidity they would be on this, the best forum ever.
 
dude, you could always get one of those little strap things, but it makes you look like an idiot (my personal opinion, not to offend and strappers around here).

I put it in my camera case when I'm not using it.
 
i was thinking of maybe sticking a bit of velcro on the front of the cap and on the bottom of the camera ?
i think i may be overthinking ?
 
I usually get a large roll of duct tape and wrap it around the camrea several times. It holds my lense cap in place, and I haven't lost it yet. The camera is a litle sticky afterwards, though...
 
I believe that Pelican or someone makes a special case for the DVX lens cap. Its kinda expensive, but it comes with a GPS based tracking device and a wireless Internet connection so if you leave it behind, it will call home by sending an urgent email to let you know its exact location. I was thinking about saving up for one myself.

I've been considering this one as well. Rush at EVS gives a good discount on this particular lens cap. Just remember to ask for the DVX User discount. Duct tape is cheaper though...
 
I heard the panasonic was actually coming out with a patented lens cap self-adhesive, so you can actually stick it to any clothing. It uses a rare form of static electricity.

I was thinking about getting it but realized that it may just end up in the laundry on accident, and I don't want any special lens cap circutry to get damaged.

i wonder if sonys lens cap tape will be compatible, or if you have to stick with the panasonic one until you die ?
 
What? You mean I wasn't supposed to use the little rectangular hole to run a string through? And then run it through the XLR caps so I don't lose anything?

Gosh, what a goof I am.
