Lens barrel fault in dvx100a?

Hi All,

My DVX100a worked perfectly yesterday but this morning it has some sort of backfocussing problem.

My zoom starts from z10 (instead of z00 to z99) when fully zoomed out, and i cant get anything sharp unless i zoom out to z99. At z10, i can even get the smudges fingerprints on the lens sharp! This wasnt possible before.

Seems like my lens has shifted within its barrel, althou i cant get a grip on this because it all was working perfectly yesterday.

If anyone reckognizes this problem and/or has a suggestion please leave a message.

Thanks,

Lennard

It may be the backfocus that got out of sync, but the software might have glitched out slightly. I don't know if the camera gets the zoom stop numbers from the lens automatically or if it gets it based on the ring position or amount of time the servo motor has ran.. I would contact Panasonic and have them diagnose the problem and send it to a repair place...

lennard,
Try hitting the autofocus button once or twice. If that won't do it, do a reset of the camera functions. If those steps fail, then its time to contact an authorized service center.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replys, but unfortunatly it didn't matter. I found one other person in this forum with the same problem, i've send him a message hoping he fixed it. I will keep this topic updated for if anyone else encounters the same issue.
