Lens Adapter Help

I am an idiot. I had a Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Standard & Medium Telephoto Lens for Canon SLR Cameras. I sold my Rebel T2i. Got a GH2. I recently bought an adapter for the Canon EF 50 mm f1.4 lens this adapter Pro Optic Lens Adapter with Adjustable Diaphragm, Canon EOS Lens to Micro 4/3 Body Mount which is the wrong adapter. Right?

I sold the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Standard & Medium Telephoto Lens for Canon SLR Cameras and aquired this lens Canon lens-FD 50mm 1:1.4 Ø52mm thinking it would fit the Pro Optic Lens Adapter with Adjustable Diaphragm, Canon EOS Lens to Micro 4/3 Body Mount. It does not.

What lens fits the adapter? What am I doing wrong? I just made a costly mistake.

Idiot head slap.

That's odd, the EF lens that you originally had should have worked with the EOS adapter you got. Something must've have been wrong.

For the one you just bought, you need a Canon FD to Micro 4/3 adapter. Just make sure that it is Canon FD, which is the older manual focus mount, and not Canon EF-S/EF/EOS, which is the newer autofocus mount.

This is one example -

Also, you don't need anything with iris control. The FD lenses have their own aperture control built on the lens. The lens will need a little switch to stop it down whenever you turn the dial, however. Most (all the ones I have seen) have this.

Many FD-to-m4/3 adapters have the iris function covered also. Inside the adapter is a tab that pushes the iris lever on the FD lens and keeps it in manually adjustable mode. I can recommend a low cost Pixco adapter for this purpose.
