Leica Vlux question

I shoot basic stuff and can tell by the fact there is no Leica forum, it probably isn't the first choice of many... my question is some basic effects like the pic shown. How would I set my camera to achieve this type of background out of focusing/blur. I shoot mostly in auto mode and have read that I have to set it to Aperture mode... etc. but after that I can't figure it out... Thank you in advance.

I have VLux2 which I use to shoot mostly video for sharing to youtube and FB. I am still learning to use the camera and set mostly to "portrait mode" even when taking video. In this mode, click the "Q Menu Button" and you can select "creative" where you can set the F stop from 2.8 to 8 to get the blur background effect. I use auto focus because the manual focus button click is picked up by the mic when taking video. I hope this helps.

I'm not sure what a "q menu button" is... I don't see that on mine...

Same as the "delete" button with the trash can icon, bellow the cursor buttons. It's the #5 button in the v-lux 2 manual, page 51

I have no such button and my delete button doesn't do anything... :-(

That is a v-lux 1, I was referring to the second version, sorry.
