For shooting stills "and" video, what is the least expensive CF card you can get away with in the Canon 5D Mark II ??

Brand, capacity, and best place to purchase ??

I bought "Transcend" UDMA 400x cards (various sizes and prices). I use 16GB.. think they cost about $67/card?

They work great, no issues

San disk. 60mb/s don't go higher than 8gb. Otherwise you will experience over heating problems.

We have been over the heating issue before, i have a sandisk 16gb and have never had heating issues, not sure 5D really has heating issues like the other cameras do.

I use a Lexar 16gb 233x card found here:

I got my Lexar 300x - 16 GB cards from buy.com for $108. Not the "cheapest", but I didn't want to take any chances.

I ran a test not long ago, recorded non stop, restarting whenever I would reach the peak file size, battery after battery and card after card. No over heating issues at all.

Using Lexar Professional UDMA 300x 16gb cards.
