LCDVF/Z-Finder or External LCD Screen?

Hi all,
I'm about to start shooting a narrative short, mainly tripod/glidetrack stuff - and I need to increase my ability to focus.

My question is, should I go with the LCDVF for £110, or a full 1080p, HDMI 7" external LCD monitor for £180? I can imagine the screen being somewhat cumbersome at times, but also far more versatile than the LCDVF.

Here's a link to the screen (will obviously have to find an appropriate battery source):

Thanks, Dom

Screw it, went for the screen... £10 for a rechargeable battery... can see what I'm shooting from wherever I like... full HD... and it's a nice little screen for DVDs and video games at home or in the car! Can't for wrong for that money.... I hope.

let me know how that works, I'm eager to hear about it

Which Lilliput monitor to buy? And, what about batteries?

* 619AHT * 819AHT * LILLIPUT FA1046 * LILLIPUT 669GL * LILLIPUT 869GL

Follow my link - thats a full HD model. Then just get yourself a £15 battery on ebay... 12V Rechargeable Li-ion Battery 4800mAh. I purchased one from a Hong Kong seller.

Will post a review when I get the screen. Should make things a LOT easier - can't believe I can get HD tech like that for under £200.

Hey Dominichics; the Lilliput 669GL-70NP/C is able to work with signals up to 1920x1080. But the display has a native resolution of 800x480. So the information on the page when following your link is a little bit misleading. :)
