Does the flip out LCD screen underscan, i.e. it does it show the full frame 1920x1080 or does it show something smaller,

thus objects at the side could creep into shot with been seen on the viewfinder

thanks

Hi,
I am pretty sure it shows the full shot, but it doesn't do it at 1920x1080 (although that'd be nice).

Thanks for that, I know the little screen is 640x something , I was just worried about things creeping into frame

I think you will find that the flip out screen does not show the whole picture on the AF100. It has actually been a complaint of mine about Panasonic products since the DVX 100. More than a few time I have been nailed by frame boundary issues when relying on the flip out screen alone. A mappable function to a user button for under scan would be a genius move on the part of Panasonic. And what is up with the black text on a dark slate colored back ground for this site. At least that's how it looks on. My iPad. Talk about not being able to see what is going on!

I never understood why they continue to instant on including flip out screens and EVFs. Just get rid of them already.
