Lavs Lavs Lavs

...and he told me to try that first...lol.

And not yet, but I was delightfully surprised at the recommendation because it just might help! (I still need a back-up, if I don't sell that one first)

Honesty, I wouldn’t sell the B6 just yet. Try it with the other caps (they really do make a difference). Get something else as your daily driver, but keep a B6 in your kit just in case. They’re handy when you need to hide the lav in plain sight, such as poking out through a button hole.

It turns out I've been using this mic with the +4dB crisp cap, which I'm assuming that's how the microphone shipped (because I know for sure I never changed it and no one else did).

So it either ships like that or it was a Countryman mistake shipping it with that cap. I looked at photos of the caps online and indeed confirmed that the flat cap has been in its mini zip lock and the +8dB cap has been in its mini zip lock.

With that said, I did test the difference between the +4 and +8 caps and it was nothing too pronounced that I could hear. (I forgot to test the flat one to see how it compared.)

The audio is so perfectly fine (and better than cheaper mics I've used), but I think my ears are just getting more experienced (hopefully).
