Lavalier plus shotgun mic on gh2 without a juicedlink device?

Is it possible to connect a lavalier plus a shotgun mic on gh2 without a juicedlink device? just with some kind of simple adapter? I want to keep the whole thing small.
Is it possible to connect a Lavalier to the GH2 directly via XLR to 2,5mm adapter?

Im sure its possible. There are several kinds of adapters available but I dont think it will solve your problem of being small and tidy.
You want the capabilities of a small mixer but with the size of the GH2. Plus there's the issue of level control...
You could use a Y cable for your two audio sources (lav and shotgun) but there's no easy way to set both of those levels independently,
especially on the fly.
Do you want a bunch of wires sticking out of your cam that can easily pull out, ruining your shot?

It'll be simpler to just use one source like the Lav alone, especially if it has a headphone output on the receiver itself.
That'd work I think. You can get a cable that goes from your Lav output to a 3.5" headphone jack...it'll be easier to deal with than the XLR
From there you can get a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter so you could then go into the GH2s input.
I still recommend you use some sort of device with level control if you plan to use two different audio sources however.

In my pre-lim testing I see that it is a possible. I have tested it with a Sennheiser K6/ME66 (you will need a power source and this mic has it on board). Went into camera from XLR TO 2.5mm right angle.
I used a lav for the test as well and it worked nicely (no phantom power necessary).

All this is possible because the GH2 has level control. (you should bring down to level one for your tests).
I also discovered that the GH2 has "some" power that is supplies to external mics, however this power is not enough I don't believe for shotgun mics with no battery power or external power source.

I've also shot some moving videos with the GH2 around classic cars.
