Lavalier mic direct to 5D2?

Hello,

I have been looking for a decent Lavalier microphone that I can plug straight into the 5D2, in other words that has a mini plug.

Does anybody have any experience with any?

Audio Technica ATR-35S is about 30 bucks USD. Sounds very good, probably about as good as you'll get for a miniplug. Has 20 feet of cable (buzzing and such from it being unbalanced is not present, at least not in any situations where I've used it). I used it on a video once and forgot to switch it on a couple times (oops) haha but when it's on it works great...

BTW - when I looked at the Amazon page just now the picture was wrong, but it's the right page.

I was looking at what I understand is the replacement for the ATR-35S which is the ATR-3350. Here is the page at Amazon.

I have been using the Sennheiser Evolution 100 Series and they are really great at about $550 US.

Are you really sure you want to plug directly into the 5D Mark 2? Are you aware of the AGC problems? If so, are you using the Magic Lantern hack? If that is the case you will need a pre-amp like a Juicelink to replace the AGC, which already has a mini-jack plug.
