Gary, do you have any footage I could see of your pinmic being used? And how do you go about asking your clients about placing. I was thinking, if they are concerned, to use the very bottom of their shirt to show what the holes would look like, or to bring in a sample cloth and show them how it works first. I don't think guys would have an issue, but woman might be more. I doubt my wife would let me use it on her clothes.
Movies could have fun with this. Like Star Trek, they could use their logo on their shirt to incorporate the mic with a little creative design.

I never ask, I just do. Led to a funny moment where an interviewee made a comment about that, especially considering it was for a Yoga video. :beer:

It's actually up near his lapel, underneath one of the folds in his shirt (I didn't plan it that way, the shirt just scrunched up into that accordion shape when he was getting placed).

Hey has anyone ever heard of another lav like the Rode PinMic?

I have the Rode Pinmic. Works pretty good. just treat it with care. easy to attach to someone clothes.

The Que Audio DA04 lav is pretty good too. It also uses the same type of connectors as the rode lavs. They are interchangeable.

I've used the Rode pinmic as a lav. There is a clip included with the kit. Works fine.
