Lav Mic

if on an extreme budget. Audio Technica PRO88W is decent. It was the first wireless lav mic kit I owned. The sound quality is great for the price - BUT, be sure to buy a separate microphone. The one included is absolute garbage. At first, I thought the whole kit just sucked, but after testing it with my shotgun mic, it sounded great.

Cons:
-Range is very limited
-For utmost quality, there shouldn't be many obstacles between the receiver and mic
-Cheap feeling
-Included microphone is horrible

Pros:
+Cheap
+Sound quality is great (with seperately purchased mic)
+Not having to tether your sound equipment during filiming

I bought a used lectrosonics wireless on ebay in 2000, I'm still using it. These things are battle axes, and they're heavy, but they work forever.

I'd have to throw my vote in for the Sennheiser G2/G3 series. The quality to price ratio is really unmatched.

I paid 450 for mine, it included a lav, a receiver, a "butt plug" for XLR mics, and it sounds great. Eventually I'll upgrade to the 400 series, I think, but for now, this is good.

I am a huge fan of Lectrosonic, but they are expensive. i believe the best for the money are the Sennheisers. Just don't drop them and make sure you get the right block.
