C100: Lanparte, Genus, Chrosziel or Zacuto follow focus?

I haven't used follow focuses extensively in the past. I'd prefer to buy something pricier that works right and will last rather than something cheaply made but I also don't like overpaying when another product works just as well and is equally durable. I've seen some positive reviews on all these models, so it's hard to distinguish which might work better for my needs.

The Lanparte has good reviews, is it worth spending double to get a used Chrosziel?

There's a lot of information and opinions out there but I've found the EOS board to be full of good advice from users who are similar to myself in genre of work and taste.

Any help is appreciated.

I own Lanparte FF with AB stop. its good, bargain for the bucks. precision yes it is. I think you get this, or the ARRI. LOL

most important of all. no back lash

I like my Lanparte, but it's a tad heavy. Zacuto is half the weight but not as smooth. Genus seems very similar to the Lanparte in design, weight and operation. Your call on weight vs fluidity vs price.

Travis,

Take a look at our microFollowFocus and microFollowFocus Black.

They both have adjustable drag, and most importantly, gear boxes with adjustable backlash control to assure that the unit is always play free.

And of course both follow focus units are covered by our lifetime warranty.

Would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Cheers,

Loren Simons
