Lanc Control/Confused

Been a while since I've posted, been very busy, I have a quick question though.

With the FS100 and native E-Mount lenses, such as the 18-200, you can use a lanc control right??

what if I have say the electronic mount for EF lenses, possible or not? does this depend on the adapter itself??

at this point if I cannot do this I may have to get an EX3r when I wanted to go and pick up an F3. Need servo zoom bad... same thing goes for the F3 as well.

regards, liam

I tried lanc control (3 buttons: on off, record, zoom or focus) on FS100 with lens kit e-mount 18-200.
On off button didn't work, record ok, zoom... and focus was uncontrollable (good focusing when focusing far object but too slow when focusing near object).
Perhaps my lanc was not appropriate for fs100.
I discover ditogear lens drive solution and it seems to be professional solution but it's expensive solution... with ditogear you can control focus and zoom with motorized servo. you could even have total motion control.
I'm waiting my EF nex metabones adapter come back from reparation (connections problem between adaptor and camcorder) connectors seems to be too small and too dirty compare to the 18-200 big rectangular connectors.
I will make some test with lanc and metabones adaptor to see what i can control.
I don't understand why sony didn't develop software for controlling FS100 by usb wire like canon 5d.

Sorry for my English.

The 18-200 kit lens does not have any servo zoom motors, so you're never going to be able to control zoom remotely no matter what cable you try. Unless, of course, you also attach some kind of external gearing to the lens barrel.

Of course you are right with all e-mount or 18-200 lens kit but with metabones electronic adaptor and canon lenses, i don't know what it is possible to do.
It's not only zoom control who is interesting me, usb control for iris , focus , whit balance, gain or viewfinder on bigger screen (ipad or galaxy tab) could be very interesting too,
but it seems Sony doesn't develop any software for.
For the moment, I think good viewfinder could be zeiss cinemizer hdmi glasses and control focus and zoom by ditogear lensdrive.

My customer would like to control zoom and focus via the LANC connector on the NEX-FS100. Is there any combination of lens and adapters that would make this possible?
