Laggy video

I have not had the chance to upload the videos onto any editing software as my computer is down. But, when I watched the videos on my computer they were choppy. Like frames were missing.

I heard about this before somewhere, and someone told me about it, but I dont recall anything from it.

Can anyone explain what I should do?

Thanks

If you can edit h.264 files natively without jerky playback I want to know the specs on that machine. I wish I could edit or playback smoothly without converting, I hate coverting to Prores. It takes forever.

Don't look at me. My T2i is still out with Barry but I can playback out-of-camera files fine with my windows 7 Q6600 machine which is a bit old.

My Mac Dual is about 5 years old and Can't play those files back with out the jerks. Forget about dropping it into FCP. One day soon all this crap will be a thing of the past including the silly render times.

Convert with Cineform Neoscene and it will solve your problem. Smooth playback even with transitions and Magic Bullet color grading.

I start to think that it is the harddrive who has the problem getting the files quick enough into the ram. Just my 2 c... Has anyone a WD Raptor HD in use?

It is always best to post your computer specs when noting any problem that may be hardware or software related.
