Kowa LM8HC full coverage 8mm f1.4

This doesn't quite offer full coverage, BUT....it offers almost as much as some of the cheap 25mm cctv lenses out there. Why?

Because it's a Machine Vision Lens, not a CCTV lens and one designed for 1" sensors. Most CCTV lenses are 1/2" or 2/3 inch sensors so they need to be 27mm (which they don't make) or more to cover the full GH1 sensor. That 8mm doesn't cover but Kowa makes 12.5mm up to 50mm at F1.4. All cheaper than the Noktor 16mm F1.6.

It looks like they also have a 4/3" format lens.<br>

Would this work with our dear GHx cameras?

Probably, but the 4/3" lenses are expensive. Almost as much as the new Olympus native m4/3 lenses, so I'd rather get those in that price range.

The Noktor costs around $499 and isn't out yet. You can buy a Kowa 1" 16mm F1.4 right now for around $300.

EDIT: http://www.spytown.com/lmi6hc.html $292 to be exact.
