That was really cool. I felt some of the eye lines were a little disorientating, but maybe you went for that effect. Overall very nice effort! I have a sweet spot for Asian cinema.
Haven't visited this thread for a while. Most of the original DSLR posters were on this particular forum 'back in the day' when the d90 was being used a lot more by filmmakers as a tool for narrative, hitherto being the only 24p DSLR shortly before the gh1. The first conversations between Kholi and Car3o were so great and i urge you to read the sticky, you can really see how they went to work on the camera, figuring out how to lock exposure etc. sadly a hack never came. Kholi seems to be at the front line of testing out these cameras and his 'scribbles' are invaluable, just sit back and learn my friends. Matt Sandstrom shot a feature with a D90 mostly on a 28mm Nikon lens, which is due out soon.
These days I'm making a film with the crew and actors from the very short posted above on a canon 5d mkii. I miss the colours of the d90 and it's chunky feel. D90 is very usable for narrative if you work around it's severe limitations. In my book you need a tripod, a stabilizer and pic video mjpeg codec. cheers
