Ya got me! I really thought it was from the DVX. I think the look can be achieved (or close to it) with our little wonder cam. Looks fantastic but I feel like we all got punked. How did you happen to get the gig?
The director/producer posted something on the Internet on a Korean forum looking for a DP/Op for a music video they were going to shoot in Vancouver. I applied with my demo reel, met with him, and got hired to do it
Normaly you would think so much grays and overcast would get boring [cough, as in Buffalo, NY] but the it actually brought life (that made sense) to the video, especially the spots of color here and there [a tail light, etc.] it proves that simplicity works just as well.
Very nice music video norm just like everyone elts I think you could get the look out of the DVX but I do agree with you It would be hard to get the slow motion effect.
Just a quick Quesiton.
How did you go about the color correction? I guess what I'm trying to say is how do you get the reds to pop out like you did? does this make sense??? haha
The colour correction was all done by a colourist under my supervision at Technicolour's Telecine session. I just told him what I wanted exactly...to lower this, increase that.. blah blah...and he went about and did it!
Stunning. What was the length of the tele? Loved the cols. Thought the slowmo was a little out now and then. But as ive said it looks stunning (your job)
Your reel must look pretty good now...
Im directing three music vids soon...and suggestions???
