it appears to be the t2i just like any other ,but im a bit confused by the kiss label?

Functionally the same, however the menu language is in Japanese. The good news is you can switch it between Japanese and English. Those are the only two languages it supports.

lol, one more benefit the Canons have over the Panasonic Gh1 is that the cameras are universal. Meaning if it comes in Pal / Japanese you can switch it to NTSC and English.

This is one more benifit the GH1 firmware hack has added... making cheap imports a possability.

Granted, it's not as easy as with the Canon's, but with the 'version compare' feature now making it possible to switch firmware without re-numbering constantly, you could theoretically carry two cards with you, with one version of PAL and one version of NTSC firmware, and change whenever necassary.

I can't see myself ever needing to change halfway through a shoot, but I will be switching my PAL GH1 to an NTSC GH1 before I go to Hawaii in a few months.
