Kessler Pocket Dolly

As long as your tripod is sturdy enough to support everything, you should be fine. If your tripod is light weight, you may want to weight it down for added stability.

Besides that very cool crank, Couldn't you do the same moves with the ZaZa Slider for less money? That pocket dolly is very tempting though.

ZaZa/Igus rail looks to be the same exact build as the Kessler. You can build it for $150. And by "build" it involves threading 3 holes in the rail. Well worth the time.

Hey guys, i thought I'd add my 2cents in this post.

I own both Pocket Dolly from Kessler Crane and the Igus unit.

The Igus built slider is good quality, but doesn't feel as smooth as the pocket dolly. I used the igus for about 6 months, and it eventually started feeling a little bit "sticky". Still a good unit for the price though.

The advantages of the Pocket Dolly from kessler Crane is two things.

1. The glide mechanism is better build quality. So shots are VERY smooth.
2. With its belt system - you'll be able to use their soon to be release, elektraDRIVE motor, that'll allow you to electronically control the slider for even smoother shots, and time lapses.
