keeping sync when doing slow mo music video

Ok I am doing my math here and I am shooting a music video that is at 1080 24p but then has certain segments where the artist is going to be in slow mo
shot 60 slowed down to 24p (blown up to 1080p)

The effect is much like the beatsie boys, whatcha want video:

They are in slow mo and look heavy and motions are more weighty, yet they keep perfect lip sync to the audio track.

So... to do this correctly, we must speed up the audio track and the artist has to lip sync in fast motion like a chipmunk..

So am I correct in:

60 divided by 24 = 2.5

So I take the track, and in an audio program speed it up by 250%

Then have the artist lip sync to that like a chipmunk while recording in 720 60p.

then I can mix that 60p footage in slowed down to 23.976 with the original 1080 24p footage and original audio track on a 1080p 59.94 timeline
in vegas with the 1080 24p native footage running at 1.0 and slow the 60p down to .4? Rendered out to 24p 1920 x 1080 23.976 20mbit mpeg4 master.

Correct?

Thanks..

some songs that are already fast and thus going 250% speed would be very hard for the singer to sing ..i tried that a few times with the last music video i shot, and the singer did not liek the idea one bit, so i ended up shooting in real time 24 p

Holy Christ that thread was mind boggling and scared me...

but I think I was right as this is the only line I needed

"60 fps: make song last 0.400x as long as normal; play it at 250.00% speed"

Yes, keep in mind if you shoot GH13 native 23.976 you are all set @ 250%. But if you shoot GH1 24p, wrapped in 29.97 and pulled down to 23.976, That will change. You may want to use:

60 fps: make song last 0.500x as long as normal; play it at 200.00% speed
