Hi, all!
I've decided to sell my 550D (T2i) in favor for a GH2. I got two Tamron zoom lenses: 17-50, 2.8 and 70-200 2.8, EF mount. There is no manual aperture control.
So I got a few ones to ask you people who know better (Yes, I read every topic I could find on every forum, including this one, the past week), it's all a little confusing to me. Too many numbers and opinions...
Should I keep my lenses and buy an adapter with manual aperture and use this in combination with my Fader ND?
Or should I get legacy lenses (Canon FD, Nikon Nikkor, etc)? I'm leaning towards new lenses, I just have to find ones with manual aperture.
I'm kind of a low light junkie, I love natural light and night shoots. But I'm also poor as hell (24 year old teacher, part time and the awful gas prices in Sweden)... Ok, not "poor", but my wallet got a limit. So no Voigtlander F0.95 for me. Yet.
The m43 sensor also needs quite wide lenses, hard to find fast wides for decent price. 50 and 85mm at f1.8 or faster, no problem... But 35mm is hard, and it gets harder the wider I go. Am I naive to think I can get a 35mm and 24mm at f2 or faster for $400 or less a piece? (Shipping to Sweden + our picky custom fees)
Is it ok with F2.8 lenses with the hack and neat video? I could get quite decent results with my Canon cam and the Tamron lenses at 3200 ISO. I add scanned film grain back into the picture (Grain freak as well), but I also have a grey card I shoot all the time with to get a clean noise sample.
I read mixed opinions of various "CCTV" lenses (actual CCTV lenses and "real" lenses with the same size and C-mounts). Great aperture, pretty sharp and often zooms. But most of them got the pin hole effect and need ETC, but then I lose the point of getting wide lenses.
Has anyone tried wide angle conversions lenses on? For example the Lumix 20mm 1.7 with a 0.45X?
Sorry if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find straight answers. And that's what I really need.
All the best
