JVC HD-110U digitizing

I borrowed a JVC from a friend to shoot my short film on and used it as my deck to transfer the footage. He has since sold the camera and I need to re-digitize some footage that has become corrupt. Are their any other cameras or decks I can use to transfer my footage? I shot 720p 24fps on HDV tapes.

You can use any other JVC HD camera to digitize, although the earliest one (the HD1) won't actually be able to play your tapes. You can digitize them, but not view them.

You can use their deck too, although the earliest little inexpensive deck will have the same issue (can't view footage, but can digitize it).

There is a new Sony deck that can play/digitize JVC footage, don't remember the model number.

No Sony or Canon HDV camera can be used for this purpose though. Only that one deck, or another JVC HDV model.
 
Yep, just one more issue to keep in mind with this camera, when working with other people too. Then again, aren't most HDV cameras pretty much proprietary to that camera line?
