Just got a new camera - Sony F35

The powers that be tell me off for advertising in here, so just to let anyone interested know I have a couple of T1 IR filters for sale again.

Anyone wanting an "F35 user discount" can PM me :)

Why sell IR filter? You buy other brand?

No, I already have IRNDs and I bought a couple of T1 IRs. They are not quite the same. I have more than I need, hence selling.

Directing a project in a week, and we're shooting on my F35. Asked for ultra primes, but we have been offered Zeiss Standard 2.1's instead. I have no experience with these lenses. Any thoughts? And are they in any way better optically than the old Sony PL's I already own?

MLys, I have Standard Speed Mark IIs. They are great lenses. A little soft in the edges wide open, but from 2.8 - 4.0 they are excellent.

They are old lenses though, they breathe a bit but they are good. the 32mm is comedy, so little glass but it makes very pretty pictures.

They are a great partner to the F35s.

Also own Standards. It depends on the look you're going for. I like them because they don't scream "digital". Hunter Richards shot that footage of the kids on the beach with them--take a look at that for an example of what to expect.

They will flare easier than a modern prime, also you may have fun with the follow focus as the focus gear is VERY close to the lens port.

@keithlango Hey keithlango, do you have the description for the Sony V-mount battery plate for the IF Box? Thanks, David

Thanks for all the input! Ended up declining the offer on the 2.1's and instead going for a 50/50 solution with Ultra Primes and Sony Primes. They appear to cut pretty well together.

Hello,

I just got my Sony F35 and I am looking for a solution to mount the hyperdeck and a V-mount plate on the back of the interface box, like many did here in the forum.

Suggestions are very welcome.

By the way, do you think this might work:

1. Otto Nemenz low mode cheeseplate on the back of the interface box.
2. http://www.bracket1.com/Item/blackmagicshuttlecradle blackmagicshuttlecradle on the Otto Nemenz low mode cheesplate
3. V mount battery plate on the blackmagicshuttlecradle

I know that point 3. definitely works because of the description on their site, but am not sure if the blackmagicshuttlecradle could fit on the Otto Nemenz low mode cheeseplate.

Thanks a lot!

David

Interface box / original sony v-mount plate / hard duty velcro / hyperdeck

Cannot be more simple, cheaper or lighter. 2 years with this combo and no issues.
