Just got a new camera - Sony F35

Guys guess what I just got !!!!

He's got an F3 for sale, not an F35 ;)

Oh dang right! So out with it star central! You got an F35 then, didn't you!?! ;)
Cant wait to join the club, should get mine tuesday.
Do you guys think I should keep the FS700 for slowmos? But I'm not sure it'll cut well with the F35?
Any thoughts? Before the FS700, I used to take 50P to much slower when needed, with twixtor (temporal resolution really helps twixtor)

Well, I think it will cut well, since once you're in super slow motion people tend to forget about quality, dynamic range and those things. So if you plan on shooting much content in slow motion, I'd definately keep it. But if it's only a once in a time shot, I'd probably get rid of it and spend that money in holydays. Gear these days loses value so quick that if you're not really making money with it everyday it doesn't make much sense anymore to buy stuff.

I'm serioulsy thinking about getting the pix240i, it's a pity that the aja quad is not out yet, but I need another recorder and I cannot wait much longer.

Now, I haven't been able to find a good review about the new model... so I have doubts still...

I can say from my own personal experience (and many popular bloggers would agree with me) with PIX220 and 240 that those two ext recorders might be one of the best if not the best recorders out there. I have used Atomos Samurai (horrible! Killed two ssd that were recommended by atomos, crashes etc) it's not a field recorder that I would take with confidence. AKA is great but too bulky for my personal taste. BlackMagic is great too but not user friendly (great for the price). I would say that all three have less features combined than PIX240. Functionality, durability, features and future proof this is what describes PIX recorders. Worth every penny. And, No, it has never failed me even once. All four recorders are different and fit everyone differently. This is my personal opinion based on my personal experience.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that you won't regret if you buy it. Sound Devices alway improve their products and I know they have lots to release. My best advice would be to you, renting. Rent it for a day or two and see if you like it or not.

Check marketplace on reduser and here. I saw 240 for sale here and at reduser, but keep in mind not 240I. I think I saw only one 240I on reduser.

You can also buy this v-mount http://www.ebay.ca/itm/170901927349 for $32 which I'm using on a cheeseplate to power my F3 and recording deck. It only gives you one d-tap but you can buy a multi power-tap splitter like this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/204182-REG/Anton_Bauer_POWERTAP_MULTI_PowerTap_Multi.html which will at least let you power even more devices and the whole kaboodle will cost much less. You will notice bare wires on the v-mount plate but you can install 4-pin xlr or whatever you need. (just know your polarity first)
