I know I'm a couple years behind the scene, but I made the move from camcorder to dslr yesterday. Got the GH2 for $500 with the Flowmotion hack already on it and a Lumix 14mm 2.5 lens for another $100. I have a nice set of Nikon primes but am waiting on the adapter. So I did a brief run through on the manual (it'll be weeks before I get it down) and then shot some video of the dog in the 24l setting (the 50m setting due to the smaller card I had). At first I thought I made a mistake because there seemed to be some distortion in the areas of the shot that showed the rug. NOPE. It was the fine detail of the rug itself. I dumped the footage into Vegas, put some MB Looks on it for a quick process, and... WOW. Just wow. I guess I am a little speechless but wanted to chime in on how blown away I am.
