Just bought my first camera

I now own a 60D. Or I will once it gets here. :)

I've been reading this site for about two years and I wanted to send out a big Thank You to everyone for the wealth of useful information I've gleaned here.

THANK YOU. :)

Seriously. It's been a long road, reading and researching, planning and saving. I'm still a new guy looking through a viewfinder for the first time, but thanks to you (and a few books I found recommended here) I'm a new guy who understands (in theory)
frame rates, focal lengths, f-stops, ISO, depth of field, codecs, bit rates, subsampling, transcoding, color temperature, color correction, chroma key, histograms, composition, stabilization, monitors, meters, miking, lighting, rotoscoping, compositing, cranking, casting and catering.

Whuf.

I'm looking forward to finding out how little I know. :)

Thanks again.

A huge Welcome, then.

And props for doing your research and learning the basics. Very few people do that nowadays, at least it so seems. "I just bought a camera but <insert problem here>" is a tired old horse.

So thank you.
