Greetings,
Just wanted to give up my first initial impressions of the JJC TM series timer I bought off Ebay. It think it was 38 bucks with free shipping. Well it works really pretty well. Once you've read the instructions and deciphered them, it's really pretty straight forward and clearly laid out. Just a couple of things that I've seen that aren't that great. It doesn't remember your settings if you turn if off.. not that big of a deal, it's also kind of easy to switch off cause the button seems to be so light and or loose. I'd say a piece of gaff keeping it in the on position solves this.
So far so great. For 40 bucks it does exactly what I want to do. It will also allow for auto exposuring if you want to do that through the bulb setting or you can set up the shutter and the exposure you want in the camera.. which is what I'll do mostly.
I' plan on knocking off a couple of timelapses this week so i'll put this through its' paces and report back. All in all though, a great purchase for such an absolutely cheap price...
