Jitter stop go stop go

I'm sure this has been talk about. I shot some footage yesterday with the t3i and when I played it back on the computer the footage would jitter (stop, go, stop, go etc...) I ran it into vegas pro 9 and it was still doing it. What causes this jitter? Is it the SD card? I do I fix this problem? Thanks

Too many possibilities!

Is it stop and go on the camera? Does older footage from the T3i play well still? What software are you trying to play it with besides Vegas? What computer spec? Magic Lantern with a really high bit rate that you didn't realize?

First thing is to reboot your computer and make sure you don't have some software hogging all the memory.

Cheers,
Pete

I download the footage from the camera onto my desktop. Here is a sample - it played well on one computer but crash on another computer but played crappy on Vegas Pro 9.0e. My laptop is ASUS with 8 gb ram and 1 T harddrive and the other computer is my imac with the same setup.

not sure how to bring this in as a video but here is the link. I will keep it up on youtube for a few days:

Looks like corrupted data in your file. Bad SD card likely, or just bad luck. Has it happened to any other clips?

it has happened to a few other footage. Some footage is great and other are just really bad. Some of it looks like you need glasses due to the double vision you get. The SD card is PNY 16gb if that helps any? I wonder if I need to up my Vegas pro editing? I will go to the Vegas guys and see if I get any input on this. Thanks
