Jib advice

Thanks John. Unfortunately the web site contact page you linked to was where I got the email address from - the one that doesn't like my emails - and there's no form for contacting. As for snail mail, well, yes, but all I wanted to know was whether he ships to the UK and how much that might cost. To be honest, I think I'm pretty much decided on buying a UK built jib that will save me a packet on shipping and import duty, which I'd rather put towards buying a better quality item (if such exists). Thanks again.

We are running a pocket jib traveler from Kessler Crane with a Manfrotto 3130 head and a 100 mm bowl based large tripod.I wish is was a little lighter camera for the jib, but it works. I like to remove the handle off the head to save a little weight. So far we have been quite pleased. 902010_10152124634199175_750667139_o.jpg

Lite is nice, but IMHO to get good results with a jib, mass is really important for smooth. Then put the heaviest tripod and head you can carry below it. Anything less and it will be a compromise. Cheap, lite, and great function is an oxymoron.
