Maybe the point is that in a 75 000 000 production the cost of the camera rent for a one day keying job could be a big issue. If I would guess how it happened than I would guess like this:John_Hudson said:I'm looking for a point in there and can't find one.
Someone from marketing is calling Mr. Spielberg
- We have a problem with sceen nr. X
- Yeah, really? Fix it!
Phonecall to the CG company
- Hallo, are you ready to make some keying for us?
- Yes,
- This is the budget, is it ok for you?
- Yes.
In the office of the CG company
- WTF are we going to use?
- As allways , call the guy with the super35
- No.. it 's too much
- Than call the guy with the Cinealta
- Eh.... no... he costs also too much
- Can we use my Samsung cellphone, it has a camera?
- Let's try it
- No .. it looks nice but it isn't good
- Hey, I know someone with a HVX, let's see what we can do with it.
In the controll room of the studio
- Yeah... looks nice but what the f... , it has more noise than I would like to see.
- Don't worry, we gonna fix it in post.
And the end of the day Mr. Spielberg's production is happy because they have fixed a problem for a little money.

The point is maybe that use of the " HVX in the $ 75 000 000 5 Oscars Spielberg movie against the 2 sec Jag with a Z1" argumentation is just patetic.
From now a HVX user will not watch the Munich as a 5 oscars movie but " My little baby in a Spielberg movie" movie.
